
Mine Detection Dog Center (MDDC) completed the training of two mine detection dogs for Mines Advisory Group (MAG) in Iraq, and MDDC trainer conducted a two months training of local dog handlers in Iraq in end of July 2011. Upon MAG's request, the MDDC deployment was extended for two more months, in order to successfully complete the integration process between dog handlers and mine detection dogs. MDDC trainer started the second phase of training in beginning of September, and it is expected to be completed in November 2011, when all the teams will be successfully tested and accredited and involved in the demining operations conducted by MAG in Iraq.
